Covid-19: Nigerian Police deploys Surveillance drone to dissipate people gathering beyond the curfew period

The Nigerian Police has deployed Surveillance drone to dissipate people gathering beyond the curfew period in Lagos State. The Lagos State Police public relations officer (PPRO) Mr Bala Elkana retweeted a video of the Lagos state police command ll, as it's RRS team puts the drone in action. The division through its verified twitter account said, the RRS Surveillance drone is deployed to disperse people gathered beyond the stipulated curfew period and urges all Lagosians to maintain physical distance to help curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state. 

Some Nigerians have praised the Lagos state police for having their eyes in the sky to see everything happening later at night.

@chidigab2000 who welcomes the idea of drone policing said, "this is nice and a welcome development. This is what we mean by smart policing. We don't need too many manpower, with more drones and less  vehicles and personnel, unnecessary police harassment, killing of innocent citizens will be reduced."
