The Africa International film festival (Afriff) 2019 is indeed the biggest annual gathering for African filmmakers from all over Africa and the diaspora, Waad Al-kateab movie titled "For Sama" opened the festival, the event witnessed filmmakers from all over Africa who came together to connect and network. Early in October at the organiser meeting, Afriff boss Ms Chioma Ude stated that the focus of this year festival will reflect on the festival theme "Sheheroes " a dedication to the African female filmmakers and storytellers, Ms Chioma being a strong devotee and advocate of female filmmakers kept to her word.
Ego Boyo's film 'The Ghost & the house of Truth directed by Akin Omotosho was among the top films that were celebrated, it cinema opening had Nollywood A-list and new actors in attendance, see how your favourites celebrities slayed at the movie night.
