Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau has tested positive for coronavirus.
The prime minister office confirmed this on Thursday night.
According statement tweeted by Cameron Ahmad Trudeau's communications director
"Following medical advice, she will remain in isolation for the time being. She is feeling well, is taking all recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild, " He Said.
Sophie Grégoire Trudeau the 44 years mother of 3 has been a strong supporter of the fight against the deadly coronavirus. she started feeling sick late Wednesday, shortly after her return from London speaking engagement.
Her husband Justin Trudeau is in good health with no symptoms at the moment he will not be tested for COVID 19, he has no symptom but will remain in Isolation for 14 days as advised by his doctors said his communications director.
Sophie who is isolated and quarantine at home made her first statement after coming in contact with the virus, she said: "First I'd like to say a big thank you to all of you who have reached out to me asking how I am doing... Although I'm experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon.
Currently, Canada has more 138 cases of the deadly novel virus which is gaining rapid spread globally.
