Covid-19: Cross River State starts School on Radio

 

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the whole world and Nigeria is not left out, many sectors in the country have suffered major setback including the education sector.

To this end, Sparkling FM Calabar in conjunction with the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Education Comrade Castro Ezama has initiated a program to engage children while at home tagged SCHOOL ON RADIO!!!

According to Castro, the program will be a 30min live lesson on air from Monday through to Friday where major subjects in junior secondary school and senior secondary school curriculum will be taught from 10:05 am to 10:35 am

Parents have been advised to take advantage of this opportunity during this period of lockdown to engage their children in quality education and learning on the radio.

Cross River State is among the Lucky States with no Index case of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, the State is putting up all the necessary measures to make sure it's people stay at home safely, and the governor has not relaxed it's border protection from foreigners, the governor professor Ben Ayade states that to ensure that the state remains Covid-19 free, all of the right measures must be taken to prevent spillover from the increasing index case of its sister State Akwa Ibom and Cameroon with currently more than one thousand plus cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic.
