Cross River State and Kogi State are the only two states free from the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic and the Governor of Cross State senator Ben Ayade is putting every measure to ensure the deadly Coronavirus doesn't spread to Cross River state, so far his efforts are yielding positive results as more than 5 Trucks carrying Almajiris/Passengers from the Northern part of the country was intercepted in bekwara community at night and was ordered to return back at the Gakem Benue State borders.
The trucks were ordered back by Hon Signor Omang Idiege, Commissioner for youths, after a thorough check of every Vehicle by the joint Security Men, consist of Peace Corps, Vigilantes, Border Taskforce, Youths etc.
The commissioner for youths made an appeal to the Chairman COVID-19 (Team) Cross River to pay a visit to trucks stands engaging in transporting Almajiris to the state and warn their drivers that are indulging in this acts of loading and importing Almajiris to different states to stop the act.
The commissioner for youths said "Meanwhile, search on every Vehicle here at the border continues as the Lockdown intensified" this is to show that Cross River State will do everything necessary to prevent the import of the deadly Coronavirus into the state.
