The Special Adviser on Media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari Mr Femi Adesina said there will be no presidential broadcast on covid-19 updates, but the presidential taskforce will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.
Prior to his announcement, the NLC and private sector (businessmen) has opposed another nationwide lockdown by president Buhari, the organizations made their intention known amid the fear that the country may go on another lockdown due to increase in the case of covid-19 in the nation.
They argue that another lockdown will have a damaging effect on the economy and lives of Nigerian in general.
The president through the joint recommendations from the PTF has extended the ease of lockdown by another two weeks.
