Popular Nigerian Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has kicked against the trending social media Silhouette challenge. The Silhouette Challenge is a challenge where women make nude videos of themselves with a red filter on it, the challenge started from TikTok but has since grown to all social media platforms, out shinning the already popular slow-motion challenge, some celebrities are also joining the challenge, Ex BBNaija winner Mercy Eke made an explicit version of the challenge, that's has been the trending topic all-day, even Nigerian actress Funke Akindele created her version of the challenge, a funny version to be precise.

Because of the nature of the challenge where nudity and exposure of curves is the main focus and it's been promoted on all social media platforms, this made the gospel singer take to her social media page to condemn the challenge, she said: "Dear woman You don't have to follow every trend, Carry thyself with dignity, know your worth...this is why you are different Let your Light so shine before men that they may see your good works (Lifestyle, character) and glorify your Father in heaven... I STAND AGAINST SILHOUETTE CHALLANGE".

The singer went further to caution young women by asking them to stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around them, but they should be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how they think. She said, "this will empower you to discern God's will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Romans 12:2."
