President Muhammadu Buhari will address Nigeria on Monday the 18th of May 2020. As the first phase of the gradual easing of covid-19 lockdown comes to an end.
The national coordinator of Presidential task force (PTF) on covid-19 Mr Aliyu Sani, made the disclosure during an interview with channels television Sunday politics.
Mr Aliyu was asked if his organization will take a different direction seeing that many Nigerian have been breaching covid-19 guideline, he said: "the president is the only one who can decide on whether or not the country should go ahead with the second phase of lockdown ease."
He added his team has been reviewing and monitoring the nation's covid-19 coronavirus pandemic cases quite closely, stressing that there are some concerns in term of the implementations, and their recommendations have been made to the president and everyone will have to wait for his decision on Monday, however, he didn't disclose the time the president will address the nation.
