Nigeria's First Lady Aisha Buhari wails as police detained her staff


The wife to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mrs Aisha Buhari has called on the IG of police Mr Mohammed Adamu to release the staffs and the security officers attached to her, who were arrested as a result of the brawl that occurred in Aso Rock.

According to Sahara reporters, President Buhari's personal assistant and private Secretary, Sabiu Tunde Yusuf is at loggerheads with the First lady, the two fell out after the First Lady denied Sabiu access into Aso-rock, she reportedly ordered him to go on a mandatory 14 days self-isolation as he recently returned from a Lagos the epicentre of Covid-19.

Sabiu who is said to be president Buhari's strong footman ignored her and fought his way into the villa, the First lady worried that his presents will expose them to danger intervened, the situation got out of control and the securities officers attached to the first lady had Sabiu removed from the villa, it provoked Sabiu, he immediately ordered the arrest of her ADC and the security officers attached to the Firt Lady. 

The president wife confirmed this in a series of tweets she shared on her Twitter page, in tweets she said, "Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody. especially on interstate travel without the necessary exemptions for movement of essentials. Anyone who does that should at the very least be made to undergo 14 days mandatory isolation no matter who the person is, no one should be above the law and the Police command."  in another tweet she said, "That Covid-19 is real and still very much around in our nation is not in doubt. Consequently, I call on all relevant Government Agencies to enforce the Quarantine Act signed by Mr President and ensure no one is found violating this law and the NCDC guidelines."
