Donald Trump jilts presidential inauguration as Joe Biden took the oath of office as the 46th US President

Joe Biden has been sworn-in as the 46th president of the United State of America, alongside his running mate Kamala Harris who was also sworn-in as the first female Vice President of the United State of America. 

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the united states capitol the same place  Donald Trump's supporters desecrated on January 6, 2021, by causing a massive riot that led to the loss of five Americans' lives.
Before the swearing-in ceremony, the venue was heavily manned with Us military, police officers, and top-secret servicemen and women who inspected everyone and their vehicles. Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden and Kamala Harris and her husband Dough Emhoff arrived at the capitol to mark a memorable day in the history of the United States of America as Kamala Harris became the first woman, first black woman, and first person of south Asia descent to be elected the vice-president of the United States of America. 

The inauguration ceremony started with the arrival of top politicians including Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Presidents of the United States, some of which include former president Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton who ran against Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush. Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama also attended the ceremony to support his friend Biden who was also the vice president during his presidency.

Former President Donald Trump who had refused to concede to Biden's victory in the poll abandoned the swearing-in ceremony and left the White House with his wife to Florida early before the inaugural ceremony started.  

After due satisfaction with the security protocol put in place, the ceremony kick-started with the announcement and ushering in of some of the top US dignitaries follows by the President-Elect and his wife Jill.

 Sen. Amy Klobuchar delivered the opening inauguration remarks, it was an incredible speech, her speech was followed by the opening prayers and performances from Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and other artists.
Kamala Harris was sworn-in first, then the president-elect Mr. Joe Biden was sworn-in too, after which he gave a beautiful and passionate speech about uniting the American people who in the past few years have been so divided, he said he will treat those that didn't vote for him with as much love as he will treat those that voted for him, He urges all Americans to treat each other with love and respect, in respective of their views, colors or race. He also promises to unite the people and be a president for all Americans.
